Calling in does not always result in being released from the Vivint agreement. The Exceptions Review Team handles claims on a case-by-case basis. If active duty military responsibilities are the reason for the decision to cancel Vivint services, there are specific military policies.

In terms of return, customers will be charged anywhere from $300 to the full price of the equipment if it is not returned to Vivint within 30 days of cancellation. Vivint will refund on a prorated basis if customers own a prepaid account after it deduces the charges and fees of the cancellation. Otherwise, customers must pay the contract in full to cancel it.
